About the Department

The Department of Mechanical Engineering, the largest department in the Institute, offers B. Tech. (Mechanical Engineering), B. Tech. (Production Engineering) programmes, M. Tech. programmes in Industrial Engineering and Management, Manufacturing Technology, Thermal Sciences, Energy Management, Materials Science & Technology and Nanotechnology, and Doctoral Degree programmes. Besides teaching, the members of the faculty are involved in consultancy and sponsored research work.
